HAPPY BIRTHDAY
BEVERLY!!!

It was great having you join our committee meeting Kathy (Yelland) Yates and very nice meeting your husband, Charlie!  Other committee members present at Bev's Birthday Meeting (LOL) were Debbie Mullinix Hancock, Bruce Liles, Harold Barker, Jim Baughman, Marsha Whitley Lister, Mary Lou Dudley Parson, Pam Sharp Fox, Patty Hart Ragland, Paul Greubel, Shirley Eberhard Londeree, Shirley Surber Ortery, Richard Knight and Teresa Martin Ludwig.

Can't wait to see all of you in less than 2 weeks at our big reunion!  We're going to have so much fun!

At the last minute and a few days before this, our last meeting, another school's committee member gave me a call. She asked if I knew that they were planning their own reunion and had booked the same place as we had for the same nights.  Debbie Mullinix Hancock came to our rescue contacting her lawyer and straightened the whole thing out, thank God!  The other school was then booked (by the mischievous Baxter) at the Hampton Holiday Inn.  Sure shook us up but only momentarily.  Mary Lou with the balloon picture is announcing what has just happened.

Post Script August 15th....I have to let you all know that we're all here with mixed emotions since our last and final committee meeting - emails are circulating quickly amongst your committee members since our last meeting on the 11th, thanking each other, gathering promises to remain in touch, letting each other know how much the other means to each of us and well, we're all getting a little "teary-eyed".

We're excited to be having this reunion and can't wait to see all of you, some from so far away, while we're finding ourselves feeling just a little bit sad at the same time.  Our purpose of getting together these past 6 months has nearly been fulfilled and we're facing the sad fact that we won't be having a regular monthly meeting to take the next steps in finalizing our reunion.  We may all live locally but never run into one another, many of us having not seen the others since school and getting to know each other better now than we were able to do when in school.  Also, we're going to be seeing some of YOU for the first time in 30 years and for only one short weekend and will have to say our goodbyes all over again for another 10 years once the weekend is over.  Maybe it's this "age" we're all at right now, or maybe it's just been so much fun with the mix of so many different personalities (ALL fun and with unique ideas!) involved in making this a successful event, but we want you all to know that we have thoroughly enjoyed getting everything ready for this once-every-(5)-10-year-event and we do hope you enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed planning it for you.  It's all been with you in mind, hoping to see as many of you as we can possibly find because it's the happy days we remember and want to recapture with all of you again - it's time to rekindle and renew old and lost friendships and make new and lasting memories.

Mr. Harold Barker volunteered at this meeting to head up the planning of our next reunion in 5 or 10 years from now, so be sure to let Harold know if you'd like to be in on the preparations - we're all volunteering our services again!

I think your committee may be just a little bit emotional at this reunion, so when you see us, please give us all a big hug - we can't wait to see you!!!
